By extracting fragments of reality in a knowledge-embracing process, Azucena Vieites will take you through some aspects of her work, the use of collage nowadays, its genealogies and an approach to drawing and to other DIY expressions.

In this framework, we will embark on a workshop dynamics by means of pooling the work of the participants, of reflecting on other works, videos or texts and the carrying out of some specific proposals that will be put in practice during the sessions in order to experiment with the expectations to be found in the depiction processes.

The participants will consider fluctuating, transient productions, that are generated around the editing concept and which use resources such as the visual quote, appropriation, interventions on the idea of the original and the copy, resignification processes, feminist thought, gender policies or multiplicity, the fragment and repetition, thus breaking away from the absolute image and the linear forms of narration.

Itziar Okariz, the artist, will also be taking part in some of the sessions and will add to the workshop work already underway.
