Video workshop 

Cinema and visual representation have standardised and normatised bodily spaces. As a result, there are places on the body that do not exist in traditional cultural output; this invisibility prevents them from operating as possible spaces of enunciation. These stigmatised, context-less and static zones also lack any opportunity for interaction.

This workshop intends to examine the monstrosity hidden by each one, thus legitimising a system of hegemonic normative bodies. The workshop will seek to collectively make a video catalogue of body areas de-authorised by visual representation and self-representation. By recording parts of the body that are made invisible by our own shame, we will create audio-visual productions that turn that absence into agency.

The material will be produced with low-fi devices and the result will be edited during the workshop using free software.
