Enrico L'Abbate's Laboratory approaches the Body without Organs (BwO)concept based on a crossed reading of "The Man Without Qualities" by R. Musil and the teaching of Alwin Nikolais, the choreographer and dance master. Nikolais investigated movement from the awareness of the possibilities of the individual and the capacities of the body to become something else. A body in constant metamorphosis, technically prepared to capture the quality of different natures. The Laboratory will address the more abstract areas of the research into movement by focusing on concepts such as continuity, language or voice.
