Pello Ulazia

Pello Ulazia (Mutriku, Gipuzkoa, 1966), is an artist and art researcher. After studying first at the Deba Art School, he went on to earn a degree in Fine Art from the University of the Basque Country, and for the last six years has worked as an art researcher and recipient of a research training grant within the Pre-Doctorate Programme established by the Basque Government Department of Education, Universities and Research.

Among other things, he was responsible for the artistic side of the Karea project in Donostia-San Sebastián's Paseo Berria (an audio-visual project carried out by the filmmakers Koldo Almandoz and Iñigo Salaberria), which received permission from the City Council and the Spanish Ministry for the Environment (2009) and was presented at the Tabakalera Cultural Centre (CICC). He also participated in the section entitled "Innovation for sustainable social progress", organised as part of the 17th Eusko Ikaskuntza Conference in 2009, in the session "Proposals for Research Projects", and under the auspices of the Basque Government Department for Education, Universities and Research, he presented the Nola egin arteaz? project in the Arteleku Centre (Gipuzkoa).
