Sahatsa Jauregi

(Salvador de Bahía, 1984). She lives in Bilbao. She graduated in Fine Arts from the UPV-EHU in 2007 and obtained her Certificate of Research Proficiency in 2010. Since then, she has been researching for her doctorate: Ideas en torno a la atracción del fracaso (Ideas on the attraction of failure), tutored by Concepción Elorza. Between 2008 and 2011, she completed to important projects. The first was titled Trabajo y Humildad (Work and Humility and was exhibited at various venues, including Espacio Abisal (Bilbao, 2009) and Sala Rekalde (Bilbao, 2009) owing to the fact that it was selected for the Ertibil awards given by Diputación Foral de Bizkaia. The second project was titled Duro Duro (Hard Hard) and was exhibited at several venues, including Montehermoso (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 2011), as part of the Next-Aurkezpenak initiative, and Koldo Mitxelena (Donostia, 2011) in the 44th New Artists Competition organised by Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa. Recently, in 2013, she has resented the publication titled Tabloid, a project she began in the city of San Francisco in 2011.
