Photographer, lecturer in Photography at the University of Brighton (England) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Trained in Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona (1990) and Documentary Photography at the Newport School of Art, Media and Design in Great Britain (1993). His work is included in collections in a score of museums and art centres around Europe, such as Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum, the Fotocollectie Universiteit Leiden, Barcelona's MACBA, the CAAC in Seville, the MUSAC in León and the CGAC in Santiago de Compostela. He has won the Leica Prize awarded by PHotoEspaña (1998) and has been given many photographic commissions by institutions that include the Centre National des Arts Plastiques of France, the International Photography Research Network Fellowship, the Photographic Collection of the University of Navarre, the University of Toulouse and Fundación Telefónica. He lives and works in Brighton and Barcelona.
