This seminar is designed as a complement to the presentation of the cinematographic project entitled How to disappear completely, focusing on the questions and debates sparked off by the film.

During the filming of a series of interviews with a number of directors, including Costa-Gavras, Raya Martin, Rikrit Tiravanija, Mia Hanssen-Love, Carlos Reygadas and Olivier Assayas, among others, for the third volume of the publication Many of Them, certain parallel debates arose in relation to how audiovisual language is constructed, the existence of apparently out-of-date structures, certain problems posed by the modern cinematographic language and system, and above all, the effects of what may at first seem to be new ways of thinking about image. This resulted in a growing awareness of the need to give these thoughts and ideas a more practical dimension through a creative dialogue based on the correspondence maintained from August 2012 onwards with the Filipino director Raya Martin, and the manifesto or chapter-based structure proposed by him.
This "script" gradually evolved into a much broader collaborative project, filmed in a wide range of locations including Jaipur, Delhi, New York, Nairobi, Tepoztlán, Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Paris and Los Angeles, with the participation of many different people. The Mexican actress Nathalia Acevedo collaborated very closely with the film, returning to the locations used in Carlos Reygadas' film Post Tenebras Lux, in which she stared, and embarking on a new journey based on this set, this story and its characters. Centred around this initial programme, the configuration is as firmly established as it is infinitely open, and the narrative unfolds to include countless sub-narratives of journeys, searches and impossible maps, which cross-cross each other and are, at the end of the day, intrinsically intertwined.

The "Film-Expedition*. Notes on How to disappear completely" will feature the producer Luis Miñarro, who will talk about new production models, and the actress Nathalia Acevedo, who will introduce the film Post Tenebras Lux and will join the How to disappear completely team in talking about some of the key features of this production, in a seminar that will end with the screening of this film at the Trueba Cinema.
