Aimar Arriola

Is a curator and researcher. He studied at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), as part of the Independent Studies Programme (PEI), as well as with the Curatorlab programme run by Konstfack University in Stockholm. As an independent agent, he has developed curator, research and education projects in a number of different contexts, including: CA2M in Madrid; Moderna Museet in Stockholm; EspaiDos in Terrassa; Hangar in Barcelona; Rekalde in Bilbao and Espacio Abisal, also in Bilbao. Today, as well as being involved in other networks, he is a member of the research platform Equipo re (http://equipo-re.org/), which brings together policies focusing on memory, identity and archives. In 2012-2013, together with Nancy Garín, he participated in the Research Residencies Programme run by the Reina Sofía Museum, with a proposal focusing on the processes of cultural production that characterise the politics of AIDS.
